Evelyn has over twenty years experience in tax compliance, auditing and consulting. The majority of her experience was obtained from working for a national firm for seven years and a large regional firm for three years. Her practice focuses on taxes (individual and corporate), financial statement audits and small business consulting.
She provides tax research, planning and compliance to individuals, C-corporations, LLC-corporations, S-corporations and partnerships. Additionally, for individuals, a diagnostic tool is utilized to identify tax and other financial issues for the upcoming year. The results of this analysis are presented to you when we review your completed tax return.
Her industry experience is varied and her wide breadth of different industries provides a good cross section of business practices that are a good resource to your company. She has worked with the following industries: agricultural co-ops, governmental agencies, SEC reporting companies, financial institutions, manufacturing and wineries. She has managed audits of numerous government/not-for-profit entities including higher education, foundations, health and welfare organizations, and religious organizations.
She has significant experience conducting audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and U.S. Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations. Evelyn has also participated in internal peer reviews that focused on financial institutions and SEC reporting companies. So she understands how to perform audits in accordance with professional standards. She has worked with SEC reporting companies to assist with implementing Sarbanes-Oxley and has been able to provide practical recommendations to her not-for-profit and governmental clients that are looking to incorporate provisions of Sarbanes Oxley in their organizations.
